Dr. Rossman is founder and Medical Director of the M.I.N.D. Multiple Sclerosis Center, located in Farmington Hills, MI, presently servicing over 1800 patients with MS. Dr. Rossman earned his medical education at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1974 and attained his board certification in Neurology in 1981. On staff at numerous hospitals in the Detroit Metropolitan area, Dr. Rossman has been Chairman of Neurology at Botsford General Hospital since 1989. Dr. Rossman has been actively affiliated with Michigan State University, attaining the rank of Clinical Professor in Neurology in 1997, as well as directing the residency training program in Neurology at Botsford from 1983 to 2002. He has received numerous awards and citations for excellence in teaching, as well as being awarded the honor of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumnus of the Year in 1984.
Debra J. Stern, RPh

Debbie Stern, RPh, is currently vice president of Rxperts, a managed care consulting firm, where she is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive programs to meet the needs of managed care clients. Debbie is a nationally recognized speaker, meeting facilitator and consultant for a wide variety of clients, including the pharmaceutical industry, health plans, pharmacy benefit management (PBM) companies, specialty pharmacy companies and technology companies. Debbie has recently devoted considerable time to projects related to specialty pharmacy for all segments of the health care industry.
Previously, Debbie was the director of pharmacy services at Prescription Solutions, a PBM company in Costa Mesa, California. Debbie was responsible for managing all aspects of pharmacy benefits for her clients, including operations, clinical services, outcomes management, budgeting and forecasting and personnel management. Prior to joining Prescription Solutions, Debbie was involved in the start-up operations of Preferred Solutions, a PBM in San Jose, California. As the first pharmacist at Preferred Solutions, Debbie was responsible for setting up the clinical, client services, claims administration, contracting and finance departments.
In addition to her managed care experience, Debbie spent five years in the pharmaceutical industry and ten years in retail pharmacy. She has a BS in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and is actively involved in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, where she has recently completed a two-year term on the board of directors.
Sheldon J. Rich, RPh, PhD

Sheldon J. Rich, RPh, PhD, is president of SJR Associates, LLC a healthcare consulting company located in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Dr. Rich has over 20 years experience in the pharmacy field, having practiced in hospital, retail and managed care pharmacy. He is a nationally recognized lecturer and moderator and provides consulting services to managed care organizations, physician practice groups, employers and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Prior to starting his own consulting practice, Dr. Rich was the director of pharmacy programs at SelectCare in Troy, Michigan, having served in that position for over six years. As the first pharmacy director employed by SelectCare, he developed a nationally recognized, cost-effective pharmacy program and pharmacy network. He was responsible for development of drug utilization review programs, served as the chairperson of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee and developed a comprehensive drug formulary. Dr. Rich also negotiated contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers and claims processors. He also instituted a pharmacy shared risk program with physician groups.
Dr. Rich earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan. He also holds a doctorate in theocentric business ethics. Dr. Rich has held the position of clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan since 1982 and has held a dual appointment as an adjunct assistant professor with the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at Wayne State University since 1994. Having presented over 700 lectures locally, nationally and internationally, Dr. Rich is in demand as an expert speaker on the topics of managed care pharmacy practice, cholesterol management, asthma management, depression management, diabetes management and appropriate methods for controlling pharmacy costs. He has moderated over 100 meetings and advisory boards and has published numerous journal articles and has contributed to two textbooks. He also served eight years on the Michigan Board of Pharmacy, including three years as chairperson. Dr. Rich has received numerous professional awards and honors and is a member of numerous professional organizations.
