Dr. James Miller is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Care Center at the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He then went on to do his internship in Internal Medicine at the New York University Medical Divisions, Bellevue Hospital and his residency in Neurology at the New York Neurological Institute at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He also completed a special fellowship in Neurovirology at the Rockefeller University in New York City. He is board certified in Neurology. Dr. Miller's major research interests are multiple sclerosis and central nervous system infections. He has received a number of honors and awards in these areas including a Cardin Fellowship in Immunology and Virology of the Romill Foundation and a Fulbright Visiting Lecturer in Neurovirology (India). He has published over 40 articles and book chapters. Dr. Miller also has a number of important administrative responsibilities at CPMC including the Institutional Review Board, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and the Department of Neurology Executive Committee of the Faculty. |
