Peter Riskind, MD, PhD, is the director of the MS clinic and professor of clinical neurology at UMMHC. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Texas and completed his neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was formerly the chief of the neuroimmunology unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and director of the MS clinic at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He specializes in multiple sclerosis and related neuroimmunologic disorders and is a member of the clinical advisory board for the Massachusetts chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Heidi J. Crayton, MD
Heidi J. Crayton, MD, is an MS specialist at the Georgetown University Multiple Sclerosis Center in Washington, DC. She received her BS in kinesiology from the University of California at Los Angeles. She went on to earn her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in adult neurology at Georgetown University Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Crayton has been awarded for her work in medical student teaching. She is involved in research for the treatment of people with multiple sclerosis and currently runs the MS Center at Georgetown University Medical Center. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology, the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers, and is on the professional advisory committee for the National Capital Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr. Crayton has been involved in national and international conferences on the advancement of treatment and care in MS. She has spoken nationally to physician and patient groups on the topic of MS. Rock Heyman, MD
Rock Heyman, M.D. serves as the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center. He is active with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) locally and nationally, serving on the National Council of Clinical Advisory Committee Chairs and the National Medical Advisory Board. He also works with the Consortium of MS Centers as vice-chair for education. Dr. Heyman's major interest is in the clinical care and education of people with MS. Dr. Heyman has been named to the NMSS Volunteer Hall of Fame and has been named to Woodward and White's Best Doctors list for several years. Dr. Heyman completed his medical school training at Ohio State University in 1985 and his neurology training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1989. He completed a fellowship in electroencephalography in 1990. He is Board Certified in Neurology and Sleep Disorders Medicine. |
